I'm gonna go with this. A V8 in a car that wasn't sold with one stock, and aerodynamics that basically made the car into a dragster, but they still complained that they weren't quick through the turns. Mechanically, it was pretty similar to the M3 GT car that it replaced.

So, it's either a Z4 with a ton of engine upgrades, or it's an M3 with one hell of a body kit to make it look like a Z4.
